Travel
to Washington State University
Airports
WSU
and Pullman are served by the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport
(airport code PUW). Alaska Airlines and its subsidiary, Horizon
Air, schedule 4 daily flights from Seattle, Washington to Pullman,
which are scattered throughout the day (the flight takes about an
hour). This is probably the most convenient connection for international
travelers. Because these commuter planes are small, we advise
securing your reservations as soon as possible.
The
Lewiston, Idaho Airport (LWS, 35 miles from Pullman), has
daily flights from Boise, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Spokane
International Airport (GEG, 75 miles north of Pullman) is a
major facility with flights to and from all areas of the U.S. daily.
Regrettably,
there is no convenient shuttle service between either Lewiston or
Spokane and Pullman. If you fly in and out of these airports, it
may be necessary for you to rent a car to complete the trip to Pullman
(the drive is about 1.5 hours from Spokane and 45 minutes from Lewiston).
Dates of Travel
Please
plan to arrive in Pullman on June 8, as the Franceschi Symposium
will start with registration and a morning session on June 9. Similarly,
please arrange to remain in Pullman until June 11, as the
Symposium will continue all day on June 10 and will culminate in
a barbecue for participants.
